Careers site analytics shows you how your careers site performs: how many people visit, which sources bring them in, which jobs they look at, and how many go on to apply. It's switched on for every CareersHub careers site by default, so there's nothing to set up — your data is already waiting in Reports.
It's built to respect your visitors' privacy. It doesn't use cookies or collect personal data, so you don't need a cookie banner for it.
Note: To change the analytics setting, you need access to the CareersHub editor.
See your careers site analytics
Your careers site data appears in the Careers site dashboard in Reports. There are two ways to get there:
Go to Reports and open the Careers site dashboard.
In the CareersHub, go to Settings > General, scroll to Careers site analytics, and click Open reports.
The Careers site dashboard includes:
Visits, Visits over time, and Visits per source
Most visited jobs
Average visit duration
Careers page bounce rate
Applications, Applications over time, Applications per job, and Applications per source
Applicant conversion rate
Application form drop-off rate
You can also add careers site metrics, like Visits, Views, or Bounce rate, to your own custom reports.
Tip: To see how each metric is calculated, read See how your careers site turns visitors into applicants with the Careers site board.
What careers site analytics tracks
Careers site analytics records three things on your live careers site:
Page views — a visitor opens a page or job on your careers site.
Application form starts — a visitor starts filling in an application form.
Application form submissions — a visitor submits an application.
Each record includes which page or job it happened on and where the visitor came from, such as a job board, a search engine, or a campaign link. That's what lets you break your data down by job and by source.
Note: Activity in the CareersHub editor and its preview isn't tracked. Only visits to your published careers site count.
How we protect your visitors' privacy
Careers site analytics tracks overall trends on your careers site, not individual people:
We don't use cookies.
We don't create persistent identifiers that follow a visitor over time.
We don't collect or store personal or identifiable data.
All data is aggregated, so nothing in your reports can be traced back to a specific visitor.
We built careers site analytics on the open-source version of Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. Learn more about Plausible's privacy-focused approach and read Plausible's data policy.
You own your data
Your careers site analytics data belongs to you. We store it on Recruitee's servers, and we don't share it with third parties.
If you disable careers site analytics, we stop collecting new data from your careers site.
Disable careers site analytics
If you'd rather not track your careers site, you can switch analytics off at any time.
Important: When careers site analytics is off, the Careers site dashboard and any custom report widgets that use careers site metrics become unavailable. No data is collected while it's off, so that period will be missing from your reports if you switch it back on.
In the CareersHub, go to Settings > General.
Scroll to Careers site analytics.
Click the ⋮ menu button and select Disable analytics.
In the Disable careers site analytics? dialog, click Disable.
The Active badge disappears from the panel, and your careers site stops sending data to Reports.
Turn careers site analytics back on
In the CareersHub, go to Settings > General.
Scroll to Careers site analytics.
Click Enable analytics.
The panel shows an Active badge again, and data collection resumes right away.
Find out where applicants drop off
A talent acquisition lead at a logistics company launches a campaign for warehouse roles. After two weeks, she opens the Careers site dashboard and checks Visits per source: the campaign is bringing in plenty of visitors. But Application form drop-off rate for the Warehouse Operative job is much higher than for her other roles. She shortens the application form for that job, and applications start to catch up with visits.
