Sending WhatsApp messages

This article explains the different ways you can send WhatsApp messages to candidates.

1. The WhatsApp chat in the candidate profile

Once you have installed and verified the FunnelBridge extension, a dedicated WhatsApp window will appear directly in each candidate’s profile within Recruitee. From there, you can send WhatsApp messages without leaving the platform.

Important:

  • The candidate must have a valid phone number saved in their profile.

  • The WhatsApp window will only appear for candidates created after installing the FunnelBridge extension.

  • If a candidate was created beforehand, you can still activate them for WhatsApp messaging.


2. WhatsApp link in candidate notes

After successfully connecting FunnelBridge with Recruitee, a unique WhatsApp link will be added to the Notes section of each new candidate profile. Clicking the link will open a chat with the candidate in your FunnelBridge account.

Important:

This method does not require the browser extension, but you must be logged into your FunnelBridge account to use it.


3. Open chat overview in Recruitee

All open WhatsApp conversations are also available in an overview within Recruitee. To access it:

  • Click the WhatsApp Hiring icon in the left sidebar.

  • From there, you’ll see a list of all ongoing chats.

  • Click a candidate’s name to open and continue the conversation.

4. Automated WhatsApp messages per pipeline stage

WhatsApp Hiring also supports automated messaging. For each stage of your hiring pipeline, you can set up automated WhatsApp messages that are sent when a candidate reaches that stage.
