Once WhatsApp Hiring is successfully integrated with your Recruitee account, a WhatsApp window will automatically appear in each new candidate’s profile, allowing you to message them directly — regardless of how they applied.
However, if a candidate was added before the integration or their phone number was entered incorrectly, the WhatsApp feature will not appear automatically. In such cases, you can activate the WhatsApp functionality retroactively by following the steps below.
1. Copy the candidate profile URL
In Recruitee, open the candidate’s profile and copy the URL from your browser’s address bar.
2. Go to FunnelBridge settings
Log in to FunnelBridge and navigate to Settings.
Select the section labeled Activate candidates retrospectively.
3. Paste the URL and search
Paste the copied Recruitee candidate profile URL into the search bar and click the magnifying glass icon to locate the candidate.
4. Activate the WhatsApp feature
Once the candidate appears, click Activate WhatsApp to enable the feature for that profile.
5. Reload the profile in Recruitee
Return to the candidate’s profile in Recruitee and refresh the page. The WhatsApp chat window should now be visible in the candidate profile.
