  • Use AI to create a draft job description based on the linked position’s details.

  • Prepare an evaluation kit for the job and choose which evaluation forms your hiring team should use.

  • Include a skills evaluation section in your forms so interviewers can assess candidates on the required skills for the role.

  • View a summary of skill evaluations on the candidate’s profile to see how well they meet the role’s requirements.

  • The Screening Assistant automatically reads the position’s name, description, and required skills to provide more relevant screening criteria for candidates.

Connect positions to your jobs

Positions act as a shared source of role information across your HR and hiring processes. In Tellent Recruitee, you can use them to create new job openings faster or link them to existing jobs.

Create a new job from a position

When you open a new job, you can skip the manual setup by creating it directly from a Tellent HR position.

The job title and role description will be automatically filled in, so you can get started faster.

Link a position to an existing job

To link a company position to an existing job posting, follow these steps:

1. Go to the relevant job and click Edit.

2. Scroll to the Position section and click Link position.

3. Select the position from the dropdown menu and click Link position.

The linked position and its required skills will now display on your Job details page. Any offers you create using your offer templates will also automatically inherit this position data.

Create a job description with AI

Once you link a position, you can use its details to quickly create a job description.

In the job description editor, click the Write button to generate a draft using the position’s name, description, and required skills.

Change or unlink a position

Easily change or remove a linked position:

1. Go to the relevant job and click Edit.

2. Scroll to the Position section:

  • To change it: Click Change position and select a different role from the dropdown menu.

  • To remove it: Click the cross (X) icon next to the position name.

Changing a position will automatically update your active evaluation forms to reflect the new requirements.

If you unlink a position entirely, you won’t be able to use its skills in candidate evaluations. However, any evaluations your team has already submitted will remain unchanged.

Build an evaluation kit

Evaluation kits help your team use the right evaluation forms at the right stage of the hiring process.

Instead of using the same scorecard everywhere, you can assign specific forms to different pipeline stages.

1. Go to your job settings sidebar and click the Evaluation kit.

2. Click + Add forms to choose the evaluation forms for your job.

3. Click the pencil icon next to a form to assign it to a specific stage.

If you change a job’s pipeline later on, the forms assigned to each stage will automatically adjust to match the new stages in the updated pipeline.

Evaluate candidates with skills

If your company uses Tellent HR (Grow), you can add a skill evaluation section to any evaluation form.

To use this feature, make sure the job has a position assigned to it that includes skills.

Add a skill evaluation section to a form

1. Go to Settings > Templates > Evaluation forms and open your chosen template.

2. Click + (Add new question), and select Skill evaluation from the dropdown menu.

What evaluators will see

When a team member fills out the evaluation form on a candidate’s profile, the form automatically shows the skills from the linked position.

For each skill, the interviewer will see:

  • The skill name and a clear description of what it means.

  • The proficiency levels defined by your company (e.g., Beginner or Expert), along with their descriptions.

View a summary of skill evaluations

Once evaluations are completed, you can view skill insights directly within your hiring workflow.

In the pipeline

Each candidate's card in the pipeline shows a score that indicates how many of the required skills for the position they have, e.g., 3/6.

On a candidate’s profile

Open a candidate profile and go to the Evaluation tab to view their evaluation summary.

At the top, you’ll see a visual breakdown of how the candidate’s skills compare to the role requirements:

  • At required level: The candidate meets the expected proficiency for these skills.

  • Above required level: The candidate exceeds the expected proficiency for these skills.

  • Below required level: The candidate’s current rating is below the target level set for the position.

  • Not evaluated: The skill has not received any ratings from your team yet.

Underneath the summary, you can expand any skill to compare individual ratings and notes from different interviewers side by side.
