When you set a job to Use internally in Tellent Recruitee, it disappears from your public careers site — which is the point, but it also means your employees have nowhere to browse those roles. Internal pages solve that: they're CareersHub pages that only people with the link can reach, and they're the one place your internal jobs can be listed.
This article walks you through switching the feature on, building a page for your internal roles, and choosing exactly which jobs that page shows.
Note: Enabling internal jobs is an advanced site setting, so you need to be an Administrator. It's available on the Advance plan.
Before you start
Three things have to line up before an internal job appears on a page. It's worth knowing all three up front, because if any one is missing the jobs simply won't show and nothing tells you why.
You have jobs set to Internal use. In Tellent Recruitee, a job becomes internal when you use the Use internally action on it. Its status changes to Internal use, and only people with a link can view it.
Internal jobs are enabled for your careers site. This is a one-time switch in your CareersHub site settings.
The page itself is internal and allows internal jobs. Both are ticked in the page's settings.
Tip: If you haven't set any jobs to Use internally yet, do that first. The Add internal jobs checkbox shows a count of your internal jobs next to it, so you'll see straight away whether you have any to list.
Enable pages with internal jobs
This switch unlocks the internal-jobs options everywhere else in the CareersHub. You only need to do it once.
In Tellent Recruitee, go to CareersHub.
On your CareersHub dashboard, click Settings.
Open the Advanced tab.
Find Enable pages with internal jobs and click Enable.
An Active badge appears next to the setting, and the button changes to Disable.
Note: If you're not an Administrator, you'll see a Restricted to admins message at the top of this tab and the button won't work. If your plan doesn't include the feature, the button says Upgrade plan instead.
Important: Turning this setting back off hides internal jobs across your whole careers site at once, on every page that lists them. The pages keep their settings, so switching it on again restores them.
Set up a page for your internal jobs
Once the site setting is on, you can put internal jobs on a brand-new page or on a page you've already built.
On a new page
On your CareersHub dashboard, go to the Pages section and click + Add page.
Give your page a Page name — something like Internal opportunities.
Under Advanced, tick Use internally.
Tick Add internal jobs.
Click Continue.
Pick a ready-made page to start from, or choose Blank page to start from scratch, then click Create page.
Your page opens in the editor with an Internal page badge and an Internal jobs badge next to its name.
Note: Add internal jobs stays greyed out until Use internally is ticked — a public page can never list internal jobs.
On an existing page
You can convert any custom page, whether it's published or still a draft.
On your CareersHub pages dashboard, hover over the page, open its three-dotted menu, and click Edit.
Click the settings (gear) icon in the bar at the top of the editor.
On the General tab, navigate to Advanced section.
Tick Use internally, then tick Add internal jobs.
Click Save.
Both badges appear next to the page name and on the page's card on your dashboard.
Note: Your Home page and your Job details page can't be internal, so the Advanced section doesn't appear in their settings at all.
Add a jobs section to the page
Marking the page is only half the job — the page still needs somewhere to display the roles.
In the editor, click Add section.
Choose Jobs, then pick the layout you want.
Click Save in the top bar, then Publish when the page is ready.
The section now lists your internal jobs alongside your published ones. If that's what you want, you're done — skip the next section.
Important: An internal page still has to be published before its link works. "Internal" controls who can find the page, not whether it's live.
Choose which jobs the section shows
By default a jobs section shows All jobs — public and internal together. Use Featured jobs to narrow it down, for example to build a page that shows internal roles only.
Hover over the jobs section and click Edit section.
Click Featured jobs at the bottom of the section menu. The button also shows how many jobs currently match, as matched / total.
Under Show jobs:, choose one of:
All jobs — every public and internal job.
Public — published jobs only.
Internal — internal jobs only.
Narrow the list further with the Tag, Department, Country, and Work model filters if you need to.
Click Done, then Save the page.
The count at the top of the dialog — Section will display X / Y jobs — updates as you change the filters, so you can check your selection before you save.
Important: Hiding jobs in Featured jobs only hides them from that section's visible list — they're still in the page's source code. If you need internal jobs off a page entirely, untick Add internal jobs in the page's settings instead.
Note: If Show jobs: is greyed out, the page can't present internal jobs. Open the page's settings and check Use internally and Add internal jobs. The option doesn't appear at all if internal jobs aren't enabled in your site settings.
Where internal jobs can't be shown
Some pages are always public, so a jobs section on them will only ever show published jobs:
Your Home page
Your Job details page
Your legal and cookie pages
On these, the Show jobs: option is greyed out with a tooltip explaining why.
Note: Setting an internal page as your homepage makes it public. The CareersHub warns you before it does, and the page stops listing internal jobs from that point on.
Ways to use internal job pages
An internal mobility page. Your People team wants employees to see roles before they're advertised outside the company. Create an internal page called Internal opportunities, tick Add internal jobs, add a Jobs section set to Internal, and share the link on your intranet. Employees get every internal role in one place, and nobody outside the company stumbles onto it.
One page for everything. You'd rather show employees the full picture — internal roles and the public openings they could also apply for. Leave the section on All jobs. The page lists both, and the internal roles are only visible to people who have the link to that page.
