When you're hiring for several jobs at once, it's easy to lose track of who moved forward and where candidates get stuck. The Pipelines board template brings this together in one place. It shows recent milestones, like interviews, offers, and hires, and uses the history of your pipelines to show how fast candidates move through each stage.
The board groups your stages by stage type (e.g., Interview or Offer), so you can compare jobs even if their stages have different names.
Note: The board only counts stages that have a stage type. To check your stage types, see Connect your pipeline stages to reports.
Add the Pipelines board
Add the board from the board template library. You can preview it with your own data before you add it.
Go to Analytics.
In the sidebar, click + Add new.
In Board templates, select Pipelines.
To preview the board with your company's data instead of sample data, turn on Show my real data.
Click Use template.
The board now appears in the Analytics sidebar, and you can open it any time.
Key data
The first row shows three numbers for the last 7 days:
Interviewed: candidates who reached a stage with the Interview stage type
Received a job offer: candidates who reached a stage with the Offer stage type
Hired: candidates who were hired
Note: The Hired number also counts hired candidates whose profiles were deleted later, so you might not be able to open every candidate it counts.

Change the date range
The default date ranges suit a daily or weekly check. If you open the board less often, extend the date range so you don't miss anything.
On the Pipelines board, open the menu of the report you want to change.
Click Edit.
Under Date range, select a new range.
Click Save.
Each report keeps its own date range, so you can show the last 7 days in one report and the last quarter in another.
Tip: In Pipeline events over time, you can also switch the interval from Daily to Weekly, Monthly, or Quarterly. This is useful for longer date ranges.
Ways to use the Pipelines board
A daily check-in for recruiters. Every morning, a recruiter opens the Pipelines board. The key numbers show six candidates interviewed and two offers sent this week. In New candidates in stages, they see that 14 recent applicants are still in a Phone screen stage, so they plan screening calls for that day.
A monthly review for team leads. Before a monthly team meeting, a team lead changes Time spent per stage type to the last 90 days. Candidates spend an average of 12 days in Evaluation, much longer than in any other stage. The team agrees to share feedback within three days of each interview.
Frequently asked questions
Why don't my numbers match what I see in a job's pipeline?
Why don't my numbers match what I see in a job's pipeline?
The board counts candidates by stage type, not by stage name. If a stage has no type, candidates in it aren't counted. Make sure every stage has a type. See Connect your pipeline stages to reports.
Why is a stage type missing from a report?
Why is a stage type missing from a report?
A stage type only shows up if candidates reached it in the selected date range. Try a longer date range.
