The fonts used on your careers site should reflect your brand. In the CareersHub you set fonts per theme — so headings, paragraphs, and buttons can each have their own typeface, weight, and styling. You can choose from two system fonts and the full Google Fonts library, and if your brand font isn't there, you can upload the files yourself.
Note: Fonts are part of a theme, not a single page. Every page using that theme picks up the change. To style one page differently, put it on its own theme first — see Editing pages.
Change the fonts in a theme
Font settings live in the theme editor, which you open from inside the page editor.
In Tellent Recruitee, go to CareersHub.
Open any page that uses the theme you want to change.
In the sidebar, find the Theme card. Click it, or open its menu and choose Edit theme.
Open the Fonts section.
Set the fonts you want (see below), then click Update.
Above the Update button you'll see how many pages use this theme — showing how many pages will be affected by the changes.
Important: Update applies your fonts straight away to every published page that uses the theme. There's no separate publishing step for a theme, so check the preview before you click it.
Note: Only one person can edit a theme at a time. If a colleague has it open, the theme card shows their name instead of the menu, and you can't make changes until they're done.
Choose a typeface
The Fonts section has three dropdowns: Heading font, Paragraph font, and Button font. Each one works the same way.
Click the dropdown and start typing to search.
Pick a font from the list:
System sans serif and System serif are built in and always available.
Fonts with a Google badge come from Google Fonts — there are over a thousand.
Fonts with a Custom badge are files your team has uploaded.
Tip: If your search comes up empty, the dropdown tells you so and points you to site settings, where you can upload the font yourself. See Upload your own font below.
Set weight, italic, and uppercase
Under each font dropdown there's a row of three controls:
Font weight — a dropdown from 100 to 900. Weights the chosen font family doesn't include are grayed out.
Italic — the slanted I button. Click to turn it on or off.
Uppercase — the button beside it. Turns all text of that type into capitals.
Note: For a custom font, the available weights are the ones you uploaded files for. Upload a bold file if you want bold — see Upload your own font.
Change the overall text size
At the bottom of the Fonts section, Font size switches the whole theme between Small and Medium. It's one setting for the theme, not per font, and it scales headings as well as paragraphs — on Small, a top-level heading drops from 64px to 40px and body text from 20px to 16px. Mobile sizes stay the same either way.
Upload your own font
If your brand font isn't a Google font, upload the files in CareersHub settings once, and it becomes available in every theme on the site.
Add a font family
In Tellent Recruitee, go to CareersHub.
On your CareersHub dashboard, click Settings, then choose Fonts from the menu on the left.
Click Add new font family.
Click Upload file and pick your font files — or drag them onto the editor. You can select several at once.
Note: We accept TTF, OTF, WOFF, and WOFF2 font files.
Check each file that appears in the list. Font weight and Font style are filled in from the file name, so a file called Brand-Bold.woff2 comes in as 700 / normal. Correct them if they're wrong, and use the bin icon to remove a file you didn't mean to add.
To add more weights to the same family, click Upload another font file.
Under Font family name, type the name you want to see in the fonts list — for example, Brand Sans.
Click Save.
Tip: Name your files so the weight and style are in there — Regular, Medium, Semibold, Bold, Black, Italic. The CareersHub reads them and fills the dropdowns in for you.
Note: Save stays grayed out until at least one file has finished uploading and the family has a name.
If a file won't upload
Two things can go wrong, and both show under the file name in red:
File corrupted. Upload a different font file. — the file isn't one that CareersHub can read. Re-export it, or try a different format.
File failed to upload. — something went wrong on the way. Click Try again next to the message.
You'll also see an error if two files in the same family have the same Font weight and Font style, or if the family name is already taken. Fix the clash and Save again.
Edit or delete a font family
Each family on the Fonts tab shows its name and the variants you uploaded.
Click the pencil icon to open the family. You can rename it, add files, change a weight or style, or remove a file.
Click Save.
If the family is used by a theme, the editor shows a “This font family is in use” notice listing those themes, and warns you again before saving if you've changed or removed a variant.
To delete a family, click the bin icon and confirm.
Important: Deleting a font family removes every file you uploaded with it, and it can't be undone. If a theme is using it, that theme falls back to a default system font — so your pages change look straight away.
Use your uploaded font
Uploaded fonts are not automatically applied. Go back to the theme and pick the font:
Open a page using the theme, click the Theme card, and open Fonts.
Find Heading font, Paragraph font, or Button font and choose your font — it carries a Custom badge.
Set the weight, then click Update.
Repeat for every theme that should use it.
FAQs
Can I use a different font on just one page?
Can I use a different font on just one page?
Not directly — fonts belong to a theme. Put the page on its own theme (duplicate your existing one if you like), then change the fonts there.

There's no limit on the number of font families or on the files in each one.
Why is the weight I want grayed out?
Why is the weight I want grayed out?
The font family doesn't include it. Google fonts only offer the weights the family publishes, and a custom family only has the weights you uploaded files for.
Do I need to publish anything after changing fonts?

No. Clicking Update in the theme editor applies the change to published pages using that theme.
What happens to my pages if I delete a custom font?
What happens to my pages if I delete a custom font?
Any theme using it falls back to a default system font, and the pages on that theme change with it.
Can I upload a variable font?
Can I upload a variable font?
A variable font file will upload if it's TTF, OTF, WOFF, or WOFF2, but the CareersHub treats it as a single weight and style. Upload a separate file per weight instead.
