Schedule a video interview to evaluate and connect with your candidates.

In times like these, where remote hiring is the new norm, connecting with your candidates via video call is essential to building a more personal connection with them, figuring out if they are a good fit for your company, and making your hiring process more effective.

Prefer using other video interviewing tools without leaving your Recruitee workflow? Synchronize your Google calendar to use Google Meet or Hangouts or integrate your Recruitee account with Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

How to schedule a video interview

Simply select Recruitee Meet as Event Type when scheduling an event. 

You can customize the email template:

The candidate will receive an email with the event information and a link that they can click to join the video interview.

Once you've scheduled the interview, a banner will appear in the candidate’s profile.

Before the call

Your candidate can join the call directly from the calendar invite you shared. When they click the event link, they will be taken to a waiting page where they can start the interview at the right time and see who they are meeting with.

Interviewers can join the interview via the candidate profile or the event in the Recruitee calendar.

When using Recruitee Meet, please keep in mind: 

  • The quality of your call depends on your bandwidth. This can cause issues if you are moving and you enter a space where the wifi signal is not as strong or fluctuates. 

  • This feature is hosted within Europe, therefore the call connection might not be optimal when used outside of Europe.

  • If you can't hear your contact or your contact cannot hear you, make sure microphone permissions are enabled and your firewall or a third-party app is not limiting or blocking Recruitee's access to the internet.

  • If you are using a custom firewall setup, make sure that the following ports are open for video calls:

80 TCP HTTP/BOSH/Websocket

443 TCP HTTP/BOSH/Websocket

4443 TCP videostream for very restrictive environments

10000-20000 UDP/TCP videostream RTP
