1. Before you can submit vacancies to VDAB through Recruitee, you must complete a two-phase onboarding process with VDAB.
⚠️ Important Information: Customers must complete the entire two-phase onboarding process with VDAB to post jobs via Recruitee.
Phase 1: Testing vacancy posting with test credentials
a) Contact VDAB by visiting https://extranet.vdab.be/api-center-excellence-coe and submitting your request by clicking “Stel je vraag” under “Data uitwisselen met VDAB?”
b) The VDAB Account Team will contact you to discuss your needs and guide you through the commercial steps required to establish a contract with VDAB.
c) Once these steps are completed, the VDAB Account Team will coordinate with VDAB’s API Center of Excellence Team to assist with your onboarding.
d) The API Center of Excellence Team will provide you with test credentials, consisting of (1) a supplier ID, (2) a username, and (3) a password. These credentials are provided directly to you (the customer).
e) The test credentials will be configured in your Recruitee account under VDAB contract settings, including field type_adverteerder (Agency or Corporate). Select “Add to my contracts” to complete the configuration.
Log in to your Recruitee account, navigate to Acquisition > Contracts, click "Configure," and insert your test credentials.
f) VDAB requires customers to submit ten realistic test vacancies. These will be checked for technical accuracy, content, and compliance with VDAB quality guidelines. If test vacancies do not meet VDAB standards, multiple testing rounds may be required. VDAB will guide you through this process and provide direct feedback.
Phase 2: Approved vacancy posting with production credentials
g) Once the test vacancies are approved, VDAB will provide you with production credentials.
h) Remove the previously saved test credentials from your Recruitee account to prevent accidental use during vacancy posting with production credentials.
j) Reconfigure your contract using the production credentials, which include (1) a supplier ID, (2) a username, and (3) a password. Select the appropriate option under type_adverteerder, check the box, and click "Add to my contracts" to save your production setup.
Log in to your Recruitee account, navigate to Acquisition > Contracts, click "Configure," and insert your production credentials.
k) You are now ready to publish your vacancies to VDAB.
Creating a campaign
The following steps will guide you through how to create a job campaign on VDAB via Recruitee.
1. Navigate to the Recruitee Jobs section and open the job vacancy you want to promote.
2. Click the Promote tab on the Job page and scroll down to Contracts. Select your Job board contract by clicking the "+ Add" button and "Proceed to final review" to start creating the job campaign.
3. Please provide the required information for the fields marked with a red asterisk (*) and click Continue.
💡 Tips
Make sure to open a separate tab with the Recruitee careers job page for the job you wish to publish in VDBA. This will make it easy to review the job offer details.
The Competentie-sjabloon field is dynamic. Values are retrieved from VDAB based on correct employer credentials and the submitted vacancy text. This field won't be populated if incorrect or dummy credentials are used.
4. Before you publish any campaign, please look at the job details for accurate information and click Continue.
⚠️ Important information:
The company logo is required to create a new job campaign and convey your branding to the job board.
Please ensure all fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are filled in, and the information is accurate; editing the job is only possible before the campaign is submitted.
5. Proceed with the Confirm order contract campaign to publish and promote the job.
6. The campaign is now created.
Campaign summary
This page provides an overview of your campaign, including job details, additional information, and a summary. Once the campaign status is Online, you can find the URL with the live posting on the Job board.
1. To check your campaign status, select the campaign card. Learn more about the Campaign status here.
2. This page briefly overviews your campaign, including job details, additional information, and a summary. In the summary block, once the campaign status is "Online", you can click the Open button to be redirected to the Job Board platform.
Removing the contract
If there are any active campaigns linked to a contract, the contract cannot be removed. In such cases, a modal will inform the user that the active campaigns must End campaigns before the contract can be removed.
However, if no active campaigns are associated with the contract, a confirmation modal will appear, enabling an easy process to remove the contract.
⚠️ Important Warning: Deleting the contract will not immediately remove your job posting from the job board. It may take up to 24 hours for the removal to take effect.
