⚠️ Important Information: All customers must complete the two-phase onboarding process with VDAB to post jobs via Recruitee.
Phase 1: Testing vacancy posting with test credentials
a) Contact VDAB by visiting https://extranet.vdab.be/api-center-excellence-coe and submit your request by clicking “Stel je vraag” under “Data uitwisselen met VDAB?”
b) The VDAB Account Team will contact you to discuss your needs and guide you through the commercial steps required to establish a contract with VDAB.
c) Once these steps are completed, the VDAB Account Team will coordinate with VDAB’s API Center of Excellence Team to provide you with your (TEST-Staging) contract credentials. The test credentials consist of (1) a supplier ID, (2) a username, and (3) a password. These test credentials are provided directly to you (the customer).
d) After you receive the test credentials, log in to your Recruitee account, navigate to Acquisition > Contracts and click "Configure" on the (TEST-Staging) Vlaamse Dienst voor Arbeidsbemiddeling en Beroepsopleiding (VDAB) listing to open the configuration form.
e) Configure your (TEST-staging) contract using the test credentials, which include a supplier ID, a username, and a password; select the appropriate option under Type adverteerder (Agency or Corporate), and insert the Physical location. Click "Add to my contracts" to complete the configuration.
f) VDAB requires customers to submit ten realistic test vacancies. These will be checked for technical accuracy, content, and compliance with VDAB quality guidelines. If test vacancies do not meet VDAB standards, multiple testing rounds may be required. VDAB will guide you through this process and provide direct feedback.
💡 You can create ten campaigns using your (TEST-Staging) contract by following the steps provided in the Creating a campaign section.
Phase 2: Approved vacancy posting with production credentials
g) Once the test vacancies are approved, VDAB will provide you with production credentials.
h) Log in to your Recruitee account, navigate to Acquisition > Contracts and click "Remove contract" for the (TEST-Staging) Vlaamse Dienst voor Arbeidsbemiddeling en Beroepsopleiding (VDAB) listing to prevent accidental use during vacancy posting.
i) Then, click "Configure," on the Vlaamse Dienst voor Arbeidsbemiddeling en Beroepsopleiding (VDAB) listing to open the configuration form and insert your production credentials.
Configure your contract using the production credentials, which include a supplier ID, a username, and a password. Select the appropriate option under type_adverteerder, and click "Add to my contracts" to complete your configuration.
j) You are now ready to publish your vacancies to VDAB.
Creating a campaign
The following steps will guide you through how to create a job campaign on VDAB via Recruitee.
⚠️ Important information: Once an order is placed, campaigns cannot be edited. Modifications on the job posting ordered are not supported.
1. Navigate to the Recruitee Jobs section and open the job vacancy you want to promote.
2. Click the Promote tab on the Job page and scroll down to Contracts. Select your Job board contract by clicking the "+ Add" button and "Proceed to final review" to start creating the job campaign.
3. Please provide the required information for the fields marked with a red asterisk (*) and click Continue.
💡 Tips
Make sure to open a separate tab with the Recruitee careers job page for the job you wish to publish in VDBA. This will make it easy to review the job offer details.
The Competentie-sjabloon field is dynamic. Values are retrieved from VDAB based on correct employer credentials and the submitted vacancy text. This field won't be populated if incorrect or dummy credentials are used.
By default, only the required fields are displayed. However, you can click on "Show optional fields" to add additional information such as languages, driver's licence, application procedure, required documents, salary.
4. Before you publish any campaign, please look at the job details for accurate information and click Continue.
⚠️ Important information:
The company logo is required to create a new job campaign and convey your branding to the job board.
Please ensure all fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are filled in, and the information is accurate; editing the job is only possible before the campaign is submitted.
5. Proceed with the Confirm order contract campaign to publish and promote the job.
6. The campaign is now created.
Campaign summary
This page provides an overview of your campaign, including job details, additional information, and a summary.
1. To check your campaign status, select the campaign card. Learn more about the Campaign status here.
2. This view contains the campaign details and summary.
Once the status is Online, an "Open" button containing the job posting URL will be displayed to preview the job posting on the job board.
Removing the contract
If there are any active campaigns linked to a contract, the contract cannot be removed. In such cases, a modal will inform the user that the active campaigns must End campaigns before the contract can be removed.
However, if no active campaigns are associated with the contract, a confirmation modal will appear, enabling an easy process to remove the contract.
⚠️ Important Warning: Deleting the contract will not immediately remove your job posting from the job board. It may take up to 24 hours for the removal to take effect.
