Tracking your hiring with the right metrics is much easier when everything lives in one place. In the Analytics section, boards bring related reports together so you can spot trends, compare results, and share insights with your team. This article shows you how to create boards, add reports, and dig into the data behind every number.
Create a board
Boards are the backbone of data-driven decisions — each one groups related reports so you can see how a part of your hiring is performing. Here's how to create your first one.
1. Go to Analytics.
2. Click Create your first board in the middle of the page. Once you have boards, click Add new in the left menu instead.
3. Choose how to start:
Board template — start from a ready-made board in the library.
Custom board — build your own board from scratch.
4. To use a template, select one in the Board templates window, preview it, and click Use template to add it to your menu. To start with a blank board, click Add empty board.
Board templates cover the key areas of Recruitee — Jobs, Candidates, Pipelines, Disqualifications, Hires, Interviews, Evaluations, and the Careers site.
💡 Tip: Turn on Show my real data in the preview to see how a template looks with your own data before you add it.
Each template combines a few report types:
Summary reports that highlight the most essential numbers and KPIs at a glance.
A trend report that shows how things change over time.
Additional reports that break the summary down or add new detail.
Add reports to your board
The Reports library gives you a large set of ready-made reports you can add as-is or customize further.
Open a board and click Add report in the top-right corner.
Browse the categories on the left, or use the search bar to find a report by name or description.
Select the reports you want, then click Add report to board.
To build something the library doesn't have, click Create a custom report and start from scratch.
Dive deeper into your data
Once your board is set up, you can focus it on exactly the data you need.
Change the date range and filters
Click Select date to switch the time range — for example, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, or a custom range.
Click Add filter to narrow the board by Department, Hiring manager, Job, Recruiter, or Talent pool.
Your reports update automatically as you change the date range or filters.
Choose who can see a board
Use the visibility control in the board header to decide who can access it:
Visible only to me — only you can see the board.
Visible to everyone — all team members can see it.
Selected members — only the specific people and roles you choose.
Examples
A recruiter notices that time-to-hire is creeping up. On the Pipelines board, they set Select date to Last 90 days, then click the Time to disqualify number to open the table behind it. Using Adjust columns, they add the Time between column and quickly see which department is slowing things down — then share the board by setting it to Visible to everyone so the hiring team can act on it together.
