To message applicants from your phone number, you’ll need to create or connect a Meta Business account. This can be done easily through our sign-up flow.
✅ What you’ll need
A phone number (mobile or landline) that can receive a verification code by SMS or phone call. It must not already be linked to WhatsApp.
A Facebook account with admin access to your company’s Meta Business account. If you don’t have a Meta Business account yet, you can create one during setup.
A valid credit card is required for your WhatsApp Business account (because Meta may charge fees for certain conversations). Learn more here.
⚙️ If you’ve previously used a test number
If you only use the bot, go to FunnelBridge > Settings > Application bot setup.
If you also use messaging, go to FunnelBridge > Settings > Direct communication setup.
Then, click Disconnect and connect your own number.
Start the embedded sign-up
Once you have your phone number and Facebook account ready, you can start the setup.
1. Log in to your Facebook account
Click Continue via Meta Business. A new window will open for you to log in.
📌 If no window appears, check your browser’s pop-up settings or see if it opened in a new tab or window.
2. Grant permission
After logging in, give FunnelBridge (Ruhr Solutions) permission to connect to your WhatsApp Business account.
3. Create or select your Meta Business account
Choose to create a new Meta Business account or select an existing one.
You’ll be asked to enter your company details. If you select an existing account, your details will be pre-filled automatically.
📌 Use your actual company website (not your Recruitee careers site). Using the wrong URL may cause your account to be blocked.
4. Create your WhatsApp Business account
Enter a name for your account and choose a display name that applicants will see when chatting with you.
5. Verify your phone number
Add your phone number and verify it by SMS or phone call.
6. Add a valid credit card
When prompted, click Open WhatsApp Business payment methods to enter your credit card details.
After adding it, set it as the default payment method.
You’ve successfully connected your WhatsApp Business account with FunnelBridge🎉 You can now communicate with applicants using your own phone number.
📌 If you’ve already integrated FunnelBridge into your Recruitee careers site using a test number, remember to update the integration code with your new number.
