How to renew your SSO (Single Sign On) certificate from Recruitee to Tellent Admin Center

Updated over a week ago

Is your SSO certificate about to expire?

To ensure continued access and a seamless transition, it’s important to update your current configuration. This update is necessary to migrate your system to our new and improved Tellent Admin Center.

Please note that when making these configuration changes, there may be a brief period of downtime for Recruitee users. We recommend notifying your team in advance to minimize any disruption before proceeding with the update.

1. Log into Recruitee and go to the Tellent Admin Center.

📌 If you don't see the Tellent Admin Center, make sure that you have full permissions in your organisation.

2. Go to the Company tab.

3. Go over to SSO and click on "Delete SSO". This will delete your old configuration.

4. Open your SSO provider and go to the Recruitee application. Make the following adjustments:

  • Change the Entity ID from "recruitee" to "tellent"

  • Change the Reply/ACS URL/Destination URL from https://auth.recruitee.com/sso/sp/consume/YOUR_COMPANY_NAME to
    https://auth.tellent.com/sso/sp/consume/YOUR_COMPANY_NAME

  • Change the Sign-in URL from:

    https://auth.recruitee.com/sso/sign-in/YOUR_COMPANY_NAME to https://auth.tellent.com/sso/sign-in/YOUR_COMPANY_NAME

5. Once you've made the necessary adjustments, then you can generate a new certificate and download your new XML file.

6. After pressing "Delete SSO", you should have been automatically logged out of Recruitee. Now login via email and password at auth.tellent.com. If you don't have a password, then select "forgot password" and follow the instructions.

7. Now log back in to Recruitee and go back to the Tellent Admin Center.

8. Click on "Set up SSO for your company".

9. Now click on "Continue to the next step".

10. Upload the XML file and click on "Continue to the next step".

11. Now enable the SSO for Recruitee and select the default role for new users. Click on "Start testing SSO" to finish the setup.

📌 After clicking on "Start testing SSO", then all users can sign-in with SSO, while the email and password login also remains accessible. When you're done testing, you can enable SSO for everyone, which means the email and password sign-in method will no longer work.
