There are two ways to customize your careers site’s URL. You can update the subdomain of your company.recruitee.com URL, described below, or use a custom domain.

In this article:

Changing the subdomain

You can update the subdomain of your company.recruitee.com URL with a few clicks.

2. Click Edit next to Subdomain.

3. Fill in the new subdomain and click Save. Your careers site’s URL will be updated immediately. The former URL will redirect visitors to your current URL.

Previously created subdomains

Previously created subdomains are saved and redirect visitors to the current URL of your careers site. This also means that a (previously used) subdomain cannot be used by two Recruitee accounts simultaneously.

You can delete a previously created subdomain, for instance, if you want to use it in a different company account.

2. Click Edit next to Subdomain.

3. Click the trash icon next to the subdomain you want to remove.

⚠️ Removing a subdomain will remove the redirect from this subdomain to your current careers site URL.

How to ensure Google is indexing my careers site?

All Google — or any search engine — needs is to encounter a link to any page on your careers site.

Most teams link to their careers site from their marketing website. Google can index your entire careers site starting with that link.

While you can submit your URL to Google directly, you don’t need to — Google regularly crawls the web to add new websites to its index.
