Evaluate candidates
Updated over a month ago

Use evaluations to share your feedback about candidates after screening or interviewing them. Candidates get scores based on evaluations from you and your team.

Add quick evaluations

Use quick evaluations to leave short and straightforward feedback, for example, after an initial screening.

1. Add a score to a candidate via the thumbs symbol at the top of the candidate profile.

⚠️ If a candidate is assigned to more than one job, make sure you select the job you are evaluating them for.

2. Click Advanced options or go to the Evaluations tab to add a note to your quick evaluation.

3. Select a job (if the candidate is assigned to more than one), optionally add a note, select an evaluation score, and click Add quick evaluation.

4. The quick evaluation will be added to the candidate profile, and your rating will count towards the candidate’s average and evaluation score. Learn how evaluation scores are calculated.

You can use the pencil and trash icons in the top-right of the evaluation to edit or delete it.

Add evaluation forms

Use evaluation forms to fill out detailed criteria after an interview. Learn about creating evaluation forms.

1. In the candidate profile, go to the Evaluations tab and click + Evaluate with form.

💡 A team member may also request you to evaluate candidates. Learn about managing evaluations.

2. In the Add tab, if the candidate is assigned to more than one job or talent pool, select which one you are evaluating them for, select an evaluation form, and click Add now.

3. The evaluation form will open, and you can start filling it in. Use the tabs to navigate between the interview, the candidate’s CV or resume, and the job details. Click View profile in the top-right to view the full candidate profile without leaving the evaluation form.

4. Once you’ve filled in the evaluation form, you can leave a note and a final evaluation score. Click Add evaluation to save it.

5. The evaluation will be added to the candidate profile, and your rating will count towards the candidate’s average and evaluation score. Learn how evaluation scores are calculated.

You can click the evaluation in the top-right of the candidate profile to edit or delete it.

How evaluation scores are calculated

An evaluator gives a final evaluation score at the end of each evaluation. These scores add up to an average evaluation score that you can see on the right of the candidate profile. If a candidate is assigned to more than one job, they also have an evaluation score next to each job.

Evaluation scores

Evaluation scores consist of a No, Not sure, Yes, and Strong yes rating scale.

Each rating has a value:

Strong yes - 100%

Yes - 75%

Not sure - 50%

No - 0%

Adding up the evaluation scores from each evaluation results in these scores:

Average evaluation score: The average of all evaluations for the candidate.

Evaluation score: The average evaluation score for all evaluations of a candidate for a specific job.

For example: If a candidate has one Strong yes and one Yes, they have an average evaluation score of 88% (100 + 75 /2 = 88).

Evaluation summary

You can view a summary of a candidate’s evaluations in their profile in the Evaluation tab under Summary.

The evaluation summary shows the scores from your team members for each job and stage, as well as the average evaluation score.

You can also filter the summary by job or talent pool in the top-right.

💡 If someone evaluated the candidate with an evaluation form with scorecards, these will also appear in the summary.
