What is A2P 10DLC?
A2P 10DLC is a US system allowing businesses to send A2P (Application-to-Person) text messages via standard 10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) phone numbers, like the ones you can register for your company in Recruitee.
Since all texting in SaaS platforms is considered A2P by US carriers, 10DLC registration is required to send text messages to US phone numbers.
If you’re not registered for 10DLC and try to text a US-based candidate, your text will not be delivered but will still be deducted from your available text pool.
Fortunately, you can submit a registration form for 10DLC directly from Recruitee. Please note that registration can take up to a few weeks. We will let you know when the process is complete.
Registering for 10DLC
To register for 10DLC, you must first enable the Texting feature in your account settings. You can learn how to do it here. When Texting is enabled:
In Settings > Company > Texting, you will see the A2P 10DLC section.
Click Start registration, fill out the registration form, and submit it.
⚠️ Make sure that the information you provide is accurate to ensure your registration is approved.
Recruitee will now create a Customer Profile on your behalf in Twilio and send it to The Campaign Registry (TCR) to register your brand. This third party handles the process for all carriers.
We will also submit a campaign registration to TCR based on our default template.
