Pipeline reports dashboard

Explore the default Pipelines dashboard to see how candidates move through your stages, then customize it to fit your team.

Introduction

Understanding where candidates get stuck — or move quickly — is hard when the data lives across many jobs and pipelines. The Pipelines dashboard is one of Recruitee's default analytics boards, and it brings candidate movement together in one place so you can spot bottlenecks and optimize your process. This article walks you through each chart on the board and shows you how to customize it.

📌 Note: Analytics is available to anyone with the Manage report dashboards permission and an active subscription. Customizing a board — sharing it, changing who can access it, or building your own reports — depends on your plan. If a control shows an upgrade icon, that feature isn't included in your current plan.

Open the Pipelines dashboard

The Pipelines dashboard is ready to use out of the box — there's nothing to set up first.

  1. In the left sidebar, click Analytics.

  2. Open the boards list.

  3. Select the Pipelines board.

Your board opens with all its charts and a toolbar for changing the date range and filters.

💡 Tip: The board list also includes other default boards — Jobs, Candidates, Disqualifications, Hires, Interviews, Evaluations, and Careers site — so you can analyze each part of your hiring from the same place.

Understand each chart on the board

The Pipelines board groups its data by stage type (for example, Applied, Interview, Offer, and Hired), so every chart reflects how candidates progress through the stages of your process.

The three tiles at the top give you a quick pulse — by default, they show the last 7 days:

  • Interviewed — the number of candidates who reached the interview stage type.

  • Received a job offer — the number of candidates who reached the offer stage type.

  • Hired — the number of candidates hired.

The charts below give you the detail — by default, they show the last 30 days:

  • Pipeline events over time — a column chart that tracks how many candidates moved into each stage type on each day of the selected period. Because it plots movement day by day and splits it by stage type, it's the best chart for spotting momentum and gaps — for example, a quiet week with no one reaching the interview stage, or a spike in hires after a hiring push.

  • New candidates in stages — a bar chart that breaks down how many candidates sit in each stage type. Use it to see where candidates are concentrated right now and whether a stage is overloaded or nearly empty, so you know where your team's attention is needed.

  • Proceed rates per stage type — a funnel showing, for each stage type, the share of candidates who entered it and then moved on to a later stage. A low proceed rate marks where candidates drop off, so you can tell at a glance whether people stall at screening, interview, or offer.

  • Time to reach stage type — the average number of days a candidate takes to reach each stage type, measured from the moment they apply. Comparing the stages shows you where the process slows down — for example, if candidates reach the interview stage quickly but take much longer to reach an offer.

  • Time spent per stage type — a pie chart showing how the average candidate's time is split across stage types, from the moment they enter a stage to the moment they leave it. The largest slice tells you which stage eats up the most time — usually the first place to look when you want to speed things up.

📌 Note: The top tiles and the charts start with different default date ranges (7 days versus 30 days). When you set a date range for the whole board, it applies to every chart — see below.

Customize the Pipelines dashboard

Once you know what each chart shows, you can tailor the board to the data your team cares about. Your changes to filters and the date range refine what every chart displays at once.

Change the date range

1. Click the date picker in the toolbar (Select date).

2. Choose a preset range — such as Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or This month — or set a Custom range with your own start and end dates.

3. All charts on the board update automatically.

Filter the data

1. Click Add filter in the toolbar.

2. Choose a group to filter by — for example Job, Department, Recruiter, Hiring manager, Source, Stage, Pipeline, or Candidate tag.

3. Select the values you want. Each active filter appears as a tag you can remove.

4. To reset, click Clear filters.

Add a report

To bring another chart onto the board, click Add report. This opens the report library, where you can pick a ready-made report or choose Start from scratch to build your own. You can filter the library by type — including Pipeline reports — to find what you need faster.

Work with an individual chart

Hover over any chart and open its menu to Edit, Duplicate, Delete, Move to another board, or view it in Fullscreen. You can also download a single chart as a CSV, PDF, PNG, or Excel file.

Rename, duplicate, or delete the board

  • Click the pencil icon next to the board name to rename it, then click Save.

  • Open the (more options) menu to Duplicate board or Delete board.

Export the board

From the menu, choose Export, then Export as… to download the whole board as a PNG, CSV, Excel, or PDF file.

Reorder your boards

In the board list, drag any board up or down to change its order. To build a fresh board from a template or from scratch, click Add new.

💡 Tip: You can check the Pipelines board weekly or monthly to review how candidates are moving and catch stages where they're waiting too long.

Apply a date range and filters to the whole board

The date picker and Add filter controls in the toolbar apply to the entire board, not to a single chart. When you pick a date range or add a filter — such as a specific job, department, or recruiter — every chart on the board updates at once to reflect the same view. This keeps all your charts consistent, so you're always comparing the same set of candidates across the same period.

📌 Note: Board-wide filters and the date range are different from editing an individual chart. If you open a single chart's menu and choose Edit, your changes there affect only that chart.

Examples

Say interviews feel slow this quarter. Open the Pipelines board, set the date range to This quarter, and add a Job filter for the role in question. Check Time to reach stage type to see how long candidates take to reach the interview stage, then look at Proceed rates per stage type to see whether they're dropping off before or after it — a clear signal of where to focus.
