There are times when you may need to temporarily pause your hiring presence or take your entire careers site offline. Depending on your goals, you can choose to deactivate the site completely or simply hide it from search engine results while keeping your job postings fully active.
Disable your careers site completely
If you want to take your careers site entirely offline, please contact support directly via our Messenger. The support team will process your request within two working days.
Important: When your careers site is disabled, the links to all your previous and future job postings created via Recruitee will display error messages. You will not be able to publish jobs via Recruitee while your site is offline.
Prevent search engines from indexing your site
If you want to keep your careers site active but stop it from appearing in public search results (like Google), you can disable search engine indexing.
1. Navigate to your careers site settings: Settings > General > Company settings > Careers site
2. Locate the Careers site indexing checkbox.
3. Uncheck the Careers site indexing box to stop search engines from crawling your pages.
Tip: Disabling indexing will not affect your day-to-day job posting activities. Candidates who have the direct link can still view your pages and apply for open roles, but passive seekers won't find your site through web searches.
