WhatsApp Hiring isn’t limited to desktop use — you can also access it seamlessly from your tablet or mobile phone. This guide will show you how to set it up so you and your team can stay connected with candidates on the go.
1. Enable access for your colleagues
Login to your WhatsApp Hiring account, then navigate to Settings > Manage mobile phone access and click on Set up new employee access. Here, you can give access to a single colleague or multiple people at once, depending on how you’d like to manage permissions.
2. Define access rights
You have two options:
Unrestricted access: Colleagues can view and manage all conversations.
Restricted access: Limit access based on jobs or departments — for example, only for hiring in specific teams.
Choose the setup that best fits your hiring structure.
3. Add employees and create the activation link
Optionally, you can add each colleague’s email address to send them their personal activation link. For every colleague you’d like to invite, tick the checkbox next to their name.
Once you’ve selected everyone, click Next > Create to generate the activation link(s).
4. Share the link and adjust access (optional)
Instead of sending links via email, you can copy the activation link manually and share it with your colleagues through your preferred channel (like Slack or email).
You can revisit this screen at any time to:
Copy the link
Edit access rights
Resend or forward the link
5. Open the activation link
On your mobile device, open the activation link you received from your colleague (WhatsApp Hiring administrator). Then tap Unlock Access to get started.
6. Access the chat overview
After activating your access, you’ll be redirected to the WhatsApp chat overview.
Here, you’ll see all active chats you have permission to view. Tap any conversation to start reading or replying.
7. Save the chat overview to your home screen
To make it easy to check for new messages, save the chat overview as a shortcut on your device’s home screen. This allows for quick access whenever you need it.
