Adding a WhatsApp button to your careers site makes it easy for candidates to apply directly via WhatsApp. FunnelBridge provides this button; you can set it up using the FunnelBridge Assistant.
By the end of this guide, you’ll have two WhatsApp buttons added to your Recruitee careers page:
A homepage button that starts a general (job-independent) WhatsApp chat
A job page button that starts a job-specific WhatsApp chat
We recommend adding both to give candidates maximum flexibility.
Before you start
You’ll need:
✅ Access to edit your Tellent Recruitee careers site
✅ A connected FunnelBridge and Tellent Recruitee integration
1. Log in to your FunnelBridge account
Go to https://app.funnelbridge.ruhrsolutions.com/ and log in using the email address linked to your FunnelBridge account.
2. Open Settings in your FunnelBridge dashboard
Click Apply with WhatsApp Button to start configuring.
3. Customize your button and copy the URL and code
First, choose your button color in the top section.
Then, you’ll see two items below:
Job-independent WhatsApp URL: Copy this URL. You’ll use it later when adding a button to your homepage (optional).
Integration code for Recruitee: Copy this code as well. You’ll need it when adding the job-specific WhatsApp button to each job page.
4. Add a homepage button
In Recruitee, open the homepage of your careers site.
Add a new button wherever you’d like the WhatsApp option to appear. Use the job-independent WhatsApp URL you copied in Step 3 as the link for this button.
5. Add FunnelBridge as a custom integration
In Recruitee, go to Settings > Integrations > Add custom integration.
6. Add the job page button
Paste the integration code you copied in Step 3 into the field provided, then click Integrate.
After this, the “Apply with WhatsApp” button will automatically appear on every job details page. This lets candidates start a WhatsApp chat and apply directly for that specific role.
You’ve successfully added two WhatsApp buttons to your careers site! 🎉 Applicants can now:
Go directly to your WhatsApp bot from the homepage to start a general (job-independent) application.
Visit a specific job page and start a WhatsApp conversation tied to that role.
