Social media ads
Updated this week

Including social media advertising as part of your advertising strategy can bring various benefits to your job campaign.

For certain types of jobs, there is a limited number of active job seekers and job boards are ineffective in reaching them. With the vast majority of people active on social media daily, this offers a great way of getting your message in front of them, telling your story and triggering their interest to find out more about your opportunities.

Using our Acquisition campaign will help you save administration effort from setting up social media ads, and promoting them to an audience that best fits your target.

How do social media ads work?

Targeting

Each social media channel has different targeting options. The most common options used in a social media campaign are location, seniority, job (title), industry, and interest-based on function category. The target of each campaign will be set up based on historical data on different target groups.

Pricing

Social media works on a CPC (cost per click) basis, which means you only pay for the traffic that is delivered to the customer's website.

You can also find multiple products per social media channel with pre-set budgets that vary in price, this is to accommodate different budget levels. The higher the budget, the more exposure and clicks you will generate.

The cost per click fluctuates depending on many factors such as location, and how popular that target audience is amongst bidders. Based on performance data and by using programmatic targeting, the campaign will deliver the best reach and relevant exposure within the target group.

Content

Custom content from customers is not accepted. Our campaign partner provider will decide on your behalf what content to use from a wide variety of stock images. They will use the best-performing images combined with text, based on past campaigns for your target audience.

Visibility

The ads will only be visible to users of the social media platform whose profiles fit within our targeting criteria. These ads will appear on their timeline as a sponsored post and will not appear on the Facebook page of the customer as an organic post.

Duration

The duration varies based on each specific product and channel, an estimate is provided in the product description.

A responsible daily limit on budget spend is set to make sure the campaign is online for the stated duration. In the case that the audience you want to reach has a high CPC it may be that the duration needs to be reduced and the daily spend increased, our campaign partner provider will manage this accordingly.

What to expect from a social media campaign?

Social media campaigns reach audiences that generally are not using these platforms to look for jobs via social media advertising. Therefore, it may not produce the same results as standard job boards.

However, with good imagery and text that triggers users interest, you can expect a high amount of traffic (clicks) to your landing page. Typically, users are on mobile devices & prefer not to fill out applications this way. Users are likely to drop off first and come back later to complete the application. Usually, this will lead to an increase in in-direct applications throughout your campaigns.
