Your careers site and public views come pre-configured with default text phrases for buttons, headers, search filters, and legal notices. If you want to personalize this copy or align terminology with your organization's unique branding, you can update standard translations across any enabled language.
Edit default site copy
You can update default phrases for individual languages directly within your account settings.
1. Go to Settings > Recruitee > General > Company settings > Languages.
2. Click the pencil icon next to the target language you want to edit.
Note: If you have multiple languages enabled on your careers site, you can customize default copy for each language independently.
3. Use the top navigation tabs to select where you want to update text (e.g., Careers site or other public views like events, GDPR notices, EEO disclaimers, or candidate questionnaires).
4. Locate your target phrase and enter your revised copy into the Translation field in the right-hand column.
5. Click Save. Your updated text will publish live immediately across your public views.
Tip: Quickly find specific terms or phrases by pressing Cmd + F (on Mac) or Ctrl + F (on Windows) to open your browser's search bar.
Note: To revert all modified fields back to their original platform translation, click Reset to defaults at the top.
