If you have a general job email address, for example, job@company.com, for potential candidates and recruiters to send CVs to, you can forward the CVs from job@company.com to your Company inbox in Recruitee Mailbox.

The forwarded CVs will be parsed into a candidate profile in Recruitee instantly. 

NOTE

  • Once set up, Outlook and Gmail will forward only new emails to Recruitee Mailbox.
  • Always include a subject line and a body text when you send CVs to your general job email address. Emails without a subject line and/or a body text will likely end up in the Spam folder of your general job email address. Emails in the Spam folder won't be forwarded to Recruitee Mailbox, even after you mark it as "not spam".
  • Always attach one real CV in PDF format per email sent to your general job email address. This is the best way to make sure that the system parses the CV correctly and converts it into a candidate profile in Recruitee. If by any chance the CV isn't parsed, you can find the forwarded email with the CV attached in the "Non-candidates" folder. You can convert it to a candidate profile anytime.
  • If you attach more than one CV to an email sent to a Job inbox, Recruitee will randomly pick and parse only one CV, leaving the rest not parsed. 

Forward CVs from Outlook to Recruitee Mailbox automatically

1. Log in to the Outlook account of the general job email address your want to forward emails from.

2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner.

3. Click "Options".

4. On the left menu, click "Mail" > "Accounts" > "Forwarding".

5. Log in to your Recruitee account. Click "Mailbox" on the left menu.

6. Click the arrow next to "Company inbox".

7. Click "Copy" in the lower right corner. The email address of your company account in Recruitee will be copied.

8. Go back to the "Forwarding" page of Outlook > Select "Start forwarding" > Press Ctrl+V to paste the email address to the field. It's recommended to check the box "Keep a copy of forwarded messages".

9. Click "Save".

10. From now on, emails sent to your general job email address will be forwarded to your "Company inbox" in Recruitee.

Emails with CVs attached will be parsed into candidate profiles automatically. You can recheck the parsed information anytime.

Emails without CVs attached will stay in the "Non-candidates" folder. You can convert them to candidate profiles anytime.

How to turn off the automatic forwarding from Outlook:

1. Log in to the Outlook account of the general job email address your set up the forwarding.

2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner.

3. Click "Options".

4. On the left menu, click "Mail" > "Accounts" > "Forwarding".

5. Select "Stop forwarding".

6. Click "Save".

Forward CVs from Gmail to Recruitee Mailbox automatically

1. Log in to the Gmail account of the general job email address your want to forward emails from. NOTE: You can only forward emails from a single Gmail address, and not an email group or alias.

2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner.

3. Click "Settings".

4. Click the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.

5. In the "Forwarding" section, click the "Add a forwarding address" button.

6. Log in to your Recruitee account. Click "Mailbox" on the left menu.

7. Click the arrow next to "Company inbox".

8. Click "Copy" in the lower right corner. The email address of your company account in Recruitee will be copied.

9. Go back to the "Add a forwarding address" page of Gmail > Press Ctrl+V to paste the email address to the field > Click "Next".

10. Click "Proceed".

11. Click "OK".

12. Go back to the "Company inbox" in your Recruitee account.

13. Click the verification email sent from Google > Click the verification link in the email.

14. Click "Confirm".

15. Go back to the "Settings" page of the Gmail account you want to forward emails from > Refresh your browser.

16. In the "Forwarding" section, select "Forward a copy of incoming mail to" > Select what will happen with the Gmail copy of your emails. It's recommended to keep Gmail's copy in the Inbox.

17. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.

18. From now on, emails sent to your general job email address will be forwarded to your "Company inbox" in Recruitee.

Emails with CVs attached will be parsed into candidate profiles automatically. You can recheck the parsed information anytime.

Emails without CVs attached will stay in the "Non-candidates" folder. You can convert them to candidate profiles anytime.

How to turn off the automatic forwarding from Gmail:

1. Log in to the Gmail account of the general job email address your set up the forwarding.

2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner > Click "Settings".

3. Click the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.

4. In the "Forwarding" section, select "Disable forwarding".

5. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.

Try this now in your Recruitee account! Make sure you are logged in to keep all your changes saved.
